Here at Gadgetize Derby we offer a friendly, honest service. Our aim is not only to set up your tech but to take the time to help you understand it.

Based in Derby, U.K. we predominantly operate in the Derbyshire area but may be able to accommodate further afield. Just get in touch to see if we can get to you.

What can we help you with?

Smart plugs.

Smart plugs are a great way to control your electrical items. They can be paired with Amazons Echo devices and Googles Nest devices to enable you to control them with your voice. They can be grouped together to control multiple plugs with just one command, my favourite so far is "Alexa, turn on Christmas." Using the group function to turn on all of the Christmas lights.

I also have them set up to control lamps and, depending on the weather a fan or heater.

Televisions.

Todays televisions are not always as straight forward as you may be used to.

With a whole host of extras, from Set Top Boxes and soundbars to built in apps, it can feel quite intimidating.

We will set up your Television, including attaching any feet or stand. We will connect any other devices, including DVD players and Set Top Boxes and help with setting up the Apps available.

Unfortunately we don't currently offer wall mounting of your television, but we do remove your old television, which is free if it is a working set as these will be donated to charities or people in need.

Amazon/Google smart devices.

Whether you want to know the current time in New York or what the current weather is like in Benidorm, Amazons echo and Googles Nest are a great way to easily access the information you're after.

These devices are also a great way to control many other things in your home. If you have any devices connected to your broadband then the chances are you can control at least some aspects with your voice.

We can help set up your device and also help link it to other gadgets in your home.

Whole home mesh system.

Getting WiFi connectivity throughout the whole home can be a tricky thing. If you are struggling to connect to your WiFi in some parts of your property, a WiFi extender system may be necessary. Depending on your ISP and the package you have, they may be able to offer you these devices, and you may be able to get them for free. So we advise you check with your provider before buying your own.

If this is not available to you, we can advise on what you may need and help you set it up. There are many factors involved so each case will be different.

There seems to be a "Smart" version of everything these days. The technology is progressing so fast it's hard to keep up.
